Columbia Data Group is a small software and marketing shop in Castle Rock, Washington. We build apps, set up the automations that handle a service business's busywork, and build the websites that get it found. We started by fixing our own company's problems. Now we fix yours.
How we got here
Eave Desk started as the tool our own building company needed.
Columbia Data Group grew out of Columbia Groundwork, an excavation company that has worked Cowlitz County since 2017, and its sister company Columbia Structure, which sells pole barn kits. Both ran into the same wall every contractor hits: the website nobody found, the quotes that took an evening to write, the follow-up that never happened because everyone was on a job.
We fixed those problems for ourselves first. The pole barn quoting problem turned into Eave Desk, a 3D designer, material takeoff and CRM that post-frame builders across the country now subscribe to. The missed-call and follow-up problems turned into the automations we now set up for other owners. The website work turned into a service because the neighbours asked.
That order matters. Everything we sell was used on a real job before it had a price.

How we work

Every engagement opens with a real review of where you stand. If something else would serve you better than hiring us, we say so and point you there.
You should not need a software degree to understand your own app or website. We write the scope in plain language and walk you through every decision.
